Corr-Tite has been used extensively in all sorts of corrosion
applications, and is now being utilized on concrete domes that cover tanks in
wastewater treatment and storage application. The liner is also used in domed
stripping tanks and structures where natural hydrogen sulfide in the groundwater
is removed. When lined with Corr-Tite LLDPE and HDPE concrete protective liners,
the domes never have to be recoated or relined again. Considering that the life
cycle of a concrete dome is in decades, not just years, the initial investment
in a Corr-Tite system to line the domes will pay back many times over versus a
coating system that might fail, and also must be maintained and reapplied periodically.
Additional penetrations through a Corr-Tite lined dome are easy to make and
seal with the same security of the original material. Key Features:
- Never have to replace the liner or recoat the dome
- Major cost savings
over time
- Costs approximately as much installed as a high-end coating
- Easy
to reconfigure and seal for extra penetrations
